Welcome to Ecohumanism Research!
I am both excited and grateful to be introducing this website. Its foundations lie upon more than twenty years of life experience and at least six years of diligent work in order to present research that I hope will be comprehendible for nearly any person. This is to be accomplished by applying the best that the academic and public spheres have to offer, culminating in an approach that is best described as “semi-academic”.
Ecohumanism Research is a project that aims to contribute to the unification of all of the world’s people by emphasizing their earthly heritage, and to contribute to the solution of the world’s greatest problems through the application of ecohumanism, which is a holistic philosophy. As such, everyone is welcome here regardless of their background. However, as academic values are vital to appropriately communicating the information that will be published here the website will emphasize these to ensure that only research and analysis of the highest quality is published.
Ecohumanism Research will encourage the participation of the general public, that is, everyone, so that they do not feel alienated given that not everyone has an academic background and a basic understanding of technical terminology. Therefore, I say this – fear not! Do feel free to participate, and importantly, be prepared to push the boundaries of what you thought was perhaps impossible.
This website will only be as successful in its aspirations as its visitors allow it to be. What do I mean by this? If you wish to contribute to developing a world where social problems such as corruption, poverty, and war are either significantly diminished or eradicated, and where ecological problems such as environmental pollution and biodiversity decline become a thing of the past, then there is a strong possibility that this website will flourish. Otherwise, it will not. The result depends and will continue to depend on our thoughts and actions. It is with this premise that this website project exists – our ability to make wise decisions.
For the purpose of distinguishing this website from others, Ecohumanism Research has no formal or official ties with any individual or organization. An effort will be made to maintain this position so as to minimize the risk of bias and conflicts of interest. In addition, the decision to include the word “Ecohumanism” in the website’s name is not in any way influenced and has no relation with the term “ecohumanism” as certain academics use it. Rather, Ecohumanism Research should be viewed as an independent project. It exists as such due to the moral principle that it is unpragmatic to change the world by applying the same thought pattern(s) that led to its present state. Especially important in this context is having awareness and understanding of oneself in relation to space and time.
As the founder of Ecohumanism Research, I have no expectations regarding how the future unfolds. In developing this project, I aspire to help myself and anyone else who is interested to become more closely connected to nature and to thrive into the future. It is my hope that potential followers and volunteers will feel and comprehend this aspiration.
As part of the website’s inauguration, I am publishing its first paper, which I suggest reviewing for appreciating the website’s philosophy as well as the approach that will be used to communicate research, and more. To read the paper, please click on the following link.
